So you’ve landed at the very first post for Restoring Roots Homestead (hi!), and we’re glad you’re here. This is going to be a crazy and unpredictable journey, full of challenges and growth (literally and figuratively). There will be plenty of stories and ideas and inspiration that Jeremiah and I hope to bring you, but I’m keeping this first entry (and probably many others) brief; let me share with you why. I’m an introvert. Oh, and also, not a writer. It’s been a stretch for me just to create a website, not only because I’m the furthest thing from tech-savvy, but because it means using my voice and being vulnerable to potentially lots of people… people I know and love, people I’ve never met, people who are more experienced than me, better with words than I am, more on-trend than I will ever be. So this is a stretch, a deliberate straying away from my comfort zone. But I’m passionate about what is going to happen here, and I think it’s worth sharing with others. I also know there’s great opportunity for me to learn from readers like you, and I hope you will engage in the conversation. Let’s help one another, be real with one another, and leave our little bit of the earth better than we found it.
Until next time,
Holly
